Forbes is a native New Yorker born in Lenox Hill Hospital and raised in Manhattan. He attended the Rudolf Steiner School on East 79th Street and later graduated from Saint David's School on East 89th Street in New York City. Forbes has a B.A. in English and an M.S. in Publishing from New York University.
Miguel R Forbes is currently Vice Chairman of Forbes Family Trust and a contributor for Forbes.com. Mr. Forbes was formerly President of Worldwide Development for Forbes Media LLC. and a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader 2005-2010. He was the new Membership Chairman for Young President's Organization from 2010-2013 of the Gotham Chapter. He is a three time consecutive New York Emmy award winning Executive Producer of Forbes Sports Money on the Yes Network. He worked as Field Director for Steve Forbes presidential campaign 1996. Mr. Forbes started his career at Prudential Securities in private wealth management. He received a BA in English and an MS in Publishing from New York University. He served on the NYU Presidents council in 2012.
